Company Description

Creative Licensing International (CLI) is an ambitious innovative consultancy in the information industry. CLI services are designed to help clients drive incremental revenue, increase brand reach, and leverage the monetary value within all forms of content among all the disparate delivery options. The Company specializes in extending the brand value of all forms of content such as serial publications, books, video and financial data. CLI began in the fall of 2014 and was born with the tagline “License, Monetize, Innovate.” 

CLI primarily serves the needs of publishers seeking to generate incremental revenue streams and broaden reach in untapped markets and distribution channels. It develops digital media strategies and sound content licensing partnerships primarily with syndication, aggregation, collective rights and publishing technologies organizations. Clients include content creators and publishers in the B2B, B2C, and STM markets as well as the scholarly and academic market.  In addition, CLI assists content aggregators in sourcing content and data feeds for use in their current awareness and research services and for their online storefronts selling print and digital publications. Creative Licensing International is adept at actively soliciting new customers for publishing technology vendors such as those providing publishing workflow management and content marketing/syndication platforms, and leverages its extensive client and prospect lists for lead generation for these clients.

Multi-day planning session with a B2B publishing team on website operations and sales targets for their new publishing technology platform

Licensing strategies for syndication, collective rights (RRO’s) and course packs for a university press and a specialized publisher of business valuation publications and services

Identifying licensing partners for a publisher of SEC-related data and news

Developing licensing partnerships outside the U.S. creating localized editions of publication

CLI President is Paul Gerbino, though CLI draws from each team member’s portfolio of experience and skills in content licensing and syndication, collective rights licensing, copyright protection, digital media strategy, marketing and publishing operations. Their professional backgrounds and experience in these areas, coupled with extensive professional contacts and regular interactions with information industry leaders and influencers creates a talented team of experts who bring their unique perspectives of the publishing world to solve each client’s needs.
